Arabesque V1 (Sun) is based on a design element I created long time ago for The Fall of Lucifer artwork. Ironically, I ended up not using it, changing the concept as the artwork progressed. It was supposed to represent a rose window ornamentation on a Gothic cathedral right behind the falling angel. The more I worked on it, the less it resembled a window. Ultimately, it ended up as a (not so) abstract jewel. The design on this iPhone case displays a cutout of its center. It’s one of my all time favorite Zazzle products.
Mandala is a part of an unfinished video project with animated waveforms. At the end I just extracted some stills as standalone artworks. This is a crop from one of them. One day, when the nice people from Speck invent an iPhone case that can have a dynamically printed video sequence, it would look even more impressive. I promise!
Ammonis Cornua V3 comes from a pseudo-realistic artwork I made for fun trying to fool people it was real photography. The ammonites were scanned and the rest of the elements were all created in Photoshop. This version is especially remixed with the iPhone proportions in mind.
Aupa WiFi Frog is part of my Aupa Telecom Design series. A friend of mine who bought the 3G version of the case made a wonderful photo collage with it. One of my favorites.
Malgache Ritual comes from my Malgache Collection t-shirt project and this red background version was initially designed for this skateboard. It looks no less amazing on an iPhone back.
The Bee Cyborg is based on a design element from my Pheromone Eros artwork. Again, one of my favorites, especially because it looks threatening and cute at the same time. The perfect iPhone case for people who love subtle messages. :)
The Bee Cyborg V2 is a variation based on the previous case made especially for Valentine’s Day. In case you are wondering, the Latin text says “Love is rich with both honey and venom”.
