  • “Also, with USA, because the political system is very close to that one of america, under the swiss point of view. I think.”
I think, the two political systems are quite different. They don’t have much in common even though both are democracies.

    • Hey ! I’m actually swiss, so maybe I can tell you what I think about it… Well, the two countries are so different in so many kinds of ways…(Population of 8 vs 320mio people… just this can make you imagine how vaste and different USA can be compared to Switzerland). But in political ways, the way the country is divided under regional governments that take action before the federal authorities make us sometimes feel like this is kinda the same. Government cannot control it all ; which is kind of the opposite in surroundings european countries (for example France looks to me more like a parlementary monarchy than a democracy)

  • Hi, I think switzerland have close feelings with germany, and in some part with france, because of the origin of the 4 language on the confederation. Also, with USA, because the political system is very close to that one of america, under the swiss point of view. I think. West europe, exist, but eastern europe? I think that´s not Europe at all, for swiss people. Maybe serbia or montenegro, for the inmigration, but if you check latest political initiatives, you can see, swiss feels very, very far away for east europe. Very funny
